Position Location: Grande Prairie, Alberta and Bonnyville, Alberta (2 positions)


Summary of Client


My client is the quality wholesale heavy equipment marketing and auction sales solution for business owners in the construction equipment, farm equipment, oilfield equipment, and trucking industries. They take a global approach to marketing and selling quality, pre-owned equipment as well as wholesale heavy duty parts, construction equipment, oilfield trucks, trailers, farm equipment, commercial real estate and aircraft.


Summary of Duties


The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible to manage an existing territory while prospecting and growing the base of clients within a specific geographic region.


Duties:


  • Develop key client relationships, existing and new, in order to grow revenue and market share within your assigned territory.
  • Planning and executing efficient trip scheduling.
  • Collaborate with management and support staff to create short and long term strategic sales initiatives.
  • Identify and capitalize on potential new business opportunities.
  • Monitor various Bid & Tender portals for Government and fleet agencies within your territory, and pursue opportunities identified as within our scope.
  • Work closely with management to produce annual sales targets and travel expense budgets.
  • Extensive travel may be required including site visits, client visits, tradeshows, etc..
  • Always represent the Company professionally in conduct and demeanor.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Relevant Post secondary education and / or sales training is a plus.
  • Results oriented self starter with a proven sales management track record, able to work well independently and as part of a team to deliver an exceptional customer service experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of autonomous outside sales experience is mandatory, with a preference for candidates with expertise in new account acquisition and hunter sales…as well knowledge with sell service agreements, and heavy equipment sales
  • Must have previous heavy equipment sales experience.
  • Ability and interest to work from a home office
  • Comfort working with a CRM & other reporting tools • Demonstrated prowess in prospect conversion and closing deals while consistently meeting established sales quotas.
  • Proficiency in opportunity qualification, meticulous pre-visit planning, effective call management, strategic account development, and adept time and territory management.
  • Proven track record in identifying opportunities that involve multiple key decision makers.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to address objections
  • Capability to cultivate and sustain enduring customer relationships.
  • Self-driven and possess high energy, along with an infectious enthusiasm for the role.
  • Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License and own a reliable personal truck or SUV preferred but not mandatory.
  • Possess great organizational, time management and both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Functional knowledge of devices and programs typically used in conducting business, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite, laptop computer, CRM, smartphone applications etc.
